San Mames Stadium

The stadium of the FC Athletic Club Bilbao, the football team of the city of Bilbao, was built by ACXT/IDOM and it has capacity for 53,562 spectators.

Officially opened in its first phase of construction in 2013, this stadium is the successor of the called "La Catedral" stadium, the Old San Mames. The stadium is used primarily by the Athletic club for training but includes also other complementary uses as a center for sports innovation and sports medicine, a subterranean running track and a municipal sports center. It is also planned to use it for big concerts as well as the previous one.

This stadium has the category level 4, the maximum level of UEFA.
