Gas museum

The aim of the Gas Museum belonging to the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation is the preservation, conservation and dissemination of the historical heritage of the gas and electricity sector.

Located in the modernist building La Energía at the Plaza del Gas of Sabadell- where, curiously, the electricity was made from the gas at the beginning of the twentieth century, the museum offers a journey through the history of the company since 1843 (then Catalonian Company for Gas Lighting) till now as Natural Gas Fenosa.

The Museum is placed in the Historical Archives of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation which consists of over 3,000 meters of shelves and historical documents of all the companies of the enterprise group.

The Gas Museum offers a wide range of activities and educational workshops for schoolchildren and combines permanent and temporary exhibitions with the organization of courses and conferences. This building is also the corporate headquarters with many offices of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation.
