The new pedestal washbasin made of bamboo by Bathco
April 10, 2025 · News update
Reinforcing its commitment to the environment, Bathco presents Kalasin, a pedestal basin made of bamboo, a natural, resistant and highly sustainable material.

This new proposal was presented for the first time during the latest edition of the ISH Frankfurt fair, consolidating the brand's commitment to conscious design and research into ecological materials.
Designed by Lucio Traficante, Kalasin takes as a reference the living structure of trees. Its cylindrical shape refers to the trunk, growing outwards in concentric rings that symbolise the passage of time. The surface, crossed by delicate longitudinal striations, reproduces the ascending pattern of the tree's natural growth.
The use of bamboo as the main material is no coincidence. This natural resource is renewable, moisture-resistant and fast-growing, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to more conventional materials.
With Kalasin, Bathco continues its journey in the research of sustainable materials, fusing innovation, craftsmanship and respect for the environment in every detail. This piece joins a line of products that seeks to rethink the bathroom from a more ecological point of view, without renouncing design or functionality.
