A house overlooking the sea that fills with light

Projects, Residential

With privileged views of the Bay of Biscay, this house in Santander was completely transformed by the studio of Natalia Zubizarreta. The project addressed from the redistribution of spaces to the final decoration, with a clear focus: to amplify natural light and achieve a serene elegance through noble materials, soft colors and custom design.

The renovation opened visuals between rooms, improving functionality and the passage of light. In the living room, a solid oak bookcase surrounds the fireplace and hides the television behind sliding doors, offering a clean and tidy front. In front of the bay window, the sofas are arranged around a chaise longue that invites you to stop and look at the landscape. White painted moldings run along the walls, providing volume and character without stridency.

The kitchen was partially enclosed with a glazed structure that allowed for additional storage without losing the feeling of spaciousness. In the bedroom, natural textiles and a calm palette reinforce the feeling of relaxation.

In the master bathroom, the careful combination of textures stands out. On an aged wood cabinet, rests the natural stone washbasin model Dual by Bathco, a piece of organic shapes and handcrafted finish that adds visual weight and authenticity. The space is covered with a wallpaper in powdered tones that brings warmth without overloading. The mirror and the dim lighting complete a sophisticated atmosphere with a natural soul.

The result is a thoughtful home that embraces light and celebrates the balance between classic and contemporary.
