In the picturesque coastal town of Camp de Mar, Mallorca, Estudio Portell has carried out a comprehensive renovation and furnishing of a semi-detached house, standing out for its innovative design and use of natural materials. Located just five minutes from the beach, this house has been transformed into a modern, welcoming and light-filled home.
Natural wood, especially oak, is the protagonist of this project, providing unparalleled warmth to every corner of the house. From the floor to the furniture details, the texture and colour of the oak create a welcoming and harmonious atmosphere that invites rest and enjoyment.
In the kitchen and bathrooms, the use of large-format porcelain has been a key choice. This material, in addition to being aesthetically appealing, prevents the appearance of joints, making cleaning and maintenance easier. Smooth, continuous surfaces add a touch of sophistication and modernity, perfectly complementing the warmth of the wood. The bathrooms are fitted with Dinan porcelain washbasins from Bathco, which blend perfectly into the space.
Open and fluid design
The open plan design is another of the distinctive elements of this renovation. The kitchen integrates perfectly with the living room, creating a spacious and bright common space. The large windows allow natural light to flood the interior, highlighting the materials and textures and creating a feeling of spaciousness and connection with the outside.
The result is a home that combines modernity with warmth, ideal for enjoying coastal life. The fluid connection between the interior and exterior spaces allows you to make the most of the privileged location near the sea, making this semi-detached house a perfect refuge for relaxing and unwinding.
