When a family seeks to breathe new life into their home, it is crucial to rely on interior design professionals who can make their dreams a reality. In this case, a family in Santander approached the interior design studio Aedificare with the desire to add more brightness, expand the spaces, and completely renovate the outdated aesthetics of their home.
From the initial meeting with the family, the importance of working together to achieve the desired design goals was understood. One key decision was to preserve and restore the herringbone flooring in the house, as it added a touch of charm and elegance. Additionally, unnecessary hallways were eliminated, and the different areas of the house were zoned, allowing for better space distribution and a sense of spaciousness.
Regarding the finishes, the goal was to create a sense of warmth in contrast to the initial aesthetics of the home. Carefully selected materials and textures, such as wood and soft fabrics, created a cozy and pleasant atmosphere throughout the house. The combination of light and neutral colors contributed to increasing the brightness and the feeling of spaciousness in each space.
During the renovation process, the bathrooms became standout pieces in the design. Each element, from the coverings to the accessories, was meticulously chosen, paying special attention to detail. The aim was to create functional and aesthetically appealing spaces that reflected the family’s personality and tastes.
For both bathrooms, the Torino countertop basin was used, fitting perfectly with the structures designed for the bathroom. The girls’ bathroom stands out, especially with its combination of pastel colors, marble finishes, and cement tones.
