The challenge was to make the client feel in love with their apartment again and StudioApart has achieved this with the renovation of this minimalist apartment in Sitges, Barcelona with high-end finishes. They knew that they would discover many possibilities if they made radical changes, so they got down to business.
In all the rooms of the apartment, except in the kitchen, Daiba parquet was placed to provide warmth to the environment and for the carpentry they had Mafac Vallés.
They were clear that what fit in with the lives of the owners was the minimalist language, so they took this into account and used excellent quality materials and made an effort in lighting design to create various scenarios thanks to Faro Barcelona.
This can be seen in the living room and kitchen where you can see what is strictly necessary, leaving enough space for freedom of movement.
Dressing room, bathroom and bedroom
The night area divides the dressing room and the bedroom with a block that is used for the bathroom. From Studio Apart they are aware that the bathroom has changed: it is no longer just a functional space, it is also a place of rest, pleasure, intimacy and joy.
From the study they comment that “Taking a shower while looking at the sea could be one of the best discoveries we made, therefore, we had to change the entire master bedroom, bathroom and closet to create a suite. With a shower with views, a dressing room and a fully integrated bathroom as a continuity”.
The shower has a mechanized screen controlled with a Bluetooth plug that is paired with the client’s smartphone and allows for more privacy in the shower or allows views to be seen from there. In the toilet area, two white porcelain Dinan washbasins were installed, placed on a piece of custom-made furniture that makes the most of the space.
