Bathco debuts at Casa Decor 2019
The Cantabrian company participated in the 54th edition of Casa Decor, the exclusive interior design expo with a unique format in Europe. A selection of Bathco products was on display from 24 January to 10 March in an emblematic setting at Núñez de Balboa No. 86 (Madrid) thanks to the Cynthia Román interior design studio.
Bathco was given the job of equipping the public restrooms on the third floor under the direction of Cynthia Román, the designer of this space. A considerable challenge in this distinctive building located in the Salamanca neighbourhood.
The Seychelles washbasins in black became the protagonists of the space and integrate perfectly with the exquisite interior design developed by the studio: an intimate and enveloping space that plays with the lighting, a hallmark of Cynthia Román’s projects. Two Bathco Athenas faucets in matte black and two suspended New Toledo toilets complete the space.
Cevisama 2019
Bathco was very satisfied with its participation in Cevisama in January of this year. The important commitment shown by the Cantabrian company in presenting two stands allowed it to reach the public in a more segmented fashion. In the words of José López Cortés “this year we have presented a very wide range of new products. Having two spaces to work with facilitated the product display enormously by allowing the visitor to study the pieces in detail”.
The visitors to Cevisama got to see first hand the new collection of washbasins and murals developed by Bathco Atelier. The luminescent washbasins, pieces that “glow” when exposed to ultraviolet light, were given special prominence. A powerful demonstration of the company’s capacity for innovation.
Another noteworthy development was the new line of modular furniture and accessories that Bathco presented under the B&K brand. This is a collection designed to cover the needs of contemporary small spaces. It also features a careful selection of colours and a full range of practical accessories and gadgets.
ISH, the most strategic show
Bathco was present from 11 to 15 March at ISH, an edition that received some 190,000 visitors from 161 countries who came to discover the latest innovations and trends.
This is the most international and important show in the sector. The figures tell the story: of the 2532 participating exhibitors, 1644 were foreign, from 57 different countries. In the words of Wolfgang Marzin, president and CEO of Messe Frankfurt, “ISH has demonstrated once again that it connects with all the international players in the sector”.
For Bathco, this show produced very positive results. José López Cortés, CEO of the company, indicated that “this show has been the most successful of recent years. Not only in terms of the quality of the products presented but also in the importance of the contacts generated. We are sure that it will lead to important commercial agreements in the short or medium term”.
Following the success of the exhibition space presented by Bathco at Cevisama, the company wanted to maintain continuity at ISH. The heart of the stand was once again turned into a central octagon connecting the different exhibition spaces, giving them life by balancing their styles and generating an overall concept in which the whole is the sum of the parts. This continuity also extended to the way the different collections were exhibited.
