There are people who travel to escape and those who do so to find themselves. That’s the idea that was going around in the Egue y Seta studio when they were approaching this project. It’s a home intended for family holidays that combines the comfort of the finest hotels with the flexibility of one’s own home.
This flat in Barcelona’s Eixample neighbourhood can accommodate up to ten people thanks to its layout. On its more private side, we find three bedrooms with dressing rooms and private baths featuring Bathco’s Santander washbasin. Access to the private section is through a foyer and hall that combines elegance and practicality, neutrality and personality, interior and exterior, and metallic gleams with the freshness of plants.
The idea was to use interior design to bring light to places where there was none, space where there was little and comfort to each of the rooms. This was the result: a home with privacy in each of the suites and sociability in its common spaces which serve as an oasis in the midst of the frenetic activity of a cosmopolitan city like Barcelona.
