A designer duplex with sea views

In Santander, just five minutes from Sardinero beach, there is this duplex home, located in a recently built building. With large windows that flood the interior with light, this home is the result of the fusion between design and architecture, offering a unique experience.

The owners sought a balance between functionality and a modern aesthetic. Upon entering the home, a carefully designed hall welcomes us with an imposing solid oak wood lattice, which together with a large built-in mirror generates a powerful visual impact from the first moment.

Visual connection in the living area

The day space is organised with a subtle separation between the dining room and the kitchen, achieved by means of a large horizontal window and a floor-to-ceiling glass door. This solution reproduces the image of the building’s large windows on the interior, allowing a fluid view between both spaces. The kitchen, far from being a secondary area, becomes a social meeting point, integrating a daily dining room with custom-made furniture.

Un refugio de calma en la zona de noche

The sleeping area is accessed through a minimalist hallway. The master bedroom has been conceived as a retreat, where clean lines, deep tones and textures play a key role in the sensory experience.

In the en-suite bathroom, the impressive large-format ceramic tiles that imitate marble are enhanced by the overhead light from a hidden pit in the ceiling. The star of the space is the Carnac model washbasin by Bathco, with a natural porcelain finish, which combines neutral colours and natural materials to convey serenity and order.

A connection with the outdoors

A central staircase leads us to the upper floor, where there is a living area connected to a spectacular terrace of more than 150m2. From here, you can enjoy stunning views of the city and the sea in the background, consolidating this home as a true refuge of design and well-being.
