The Rodes Arquitectura team has carried out a comprehensive renovation of a newly built home in San Juan, Alicante. This project stands out for its focus on contemporary design, accompanied by natural materials that provide warmth and a connection with the Mediterranean environment.
The property is designed to make the most of natural light. Large windows allow sunlight to enter and provide a feeling of spaciousness in all spaces. The neutral colour palette, combined with light-coloured furniture and wooden details, creates a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for enjoying the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Natural materials
One of the project’s strong points is the use of natural materials in the finishes and furniture. Wood, present in the countertops, shelves and cladding, provides a warm touch and connects the interior of the home with the aesthetics of the Alicante landscape. This focus on natural materials not only highlights the beauty of the space, but also ensures its durability and functionality.
The bathrooms in the house follow the same design line, with simple and elegant elements that complement the overall style of the house. The main bathroom features two New Nordic washbasins by Bathco, carefully integrated into a light wood countertop. The secondary bathroom also has the Volta washbasins by Bathco, also with a warm wood countertop and Mediterranean details that reinforce the cozy character of the space.
This home in San Juan is an example of how contemporary design can reflect the environment in which it exists.
