Cristina Rumoroso, an expert in home staging, has carried out comprehensive advice on the design of the new Álvarez Visión Optician, transforming a traditionally commercial space into a welcoming and stylish environment.
From the distribution of spaces, to the colour palette, the design of furniture, textiles and the careful selection of materials, Cristina has managed to convey a feeling of home to this optician, making a difference in how visual health spaces are perceived.
The aim of this design was clear: to move away from the typical coldness of commercial spaces and offer visitors a warm and relaxing experience. To do this, wood becomes the protagonist of the project, being present in both the furniture and the doors. Each piece has been custom designed and manufactured by trusted carpenters, providing a unique and artisanal character to the environment. The space achieves a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, highlighting the tranquility and visual peace that the owners were looking for.
One of the most special elements of the project is the back wall, which preserves the original brickwork of the building. This detail provides a rustic and authentic touch that dialogues perfectly with the Mediterranean style and the new elements incorporated. The original columns have also been maintained, anchoring the space in its history.
A space designed to enjoy every detail
In such a well-kept optician’s office, every corner has been thought out in detail. A notable example is the lens area, where patients are assisted in inserting their contact lenses. The Trieste washbasin in Solid Surface by Bathco has been installed in this space, a minimalist and elegant piece that fits perfectly with the design of the surroundings. Its presence brings a touch of sophistication and practicality, reinforcing the overall harmony of the design.
Lighting and textiles also play a key role in this project. The selection of soft fabrics and neutral colours complements the wood and enhances the feeling of warmth. Natural light, enhanced by carefully selected luminaires, contributes to creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere.
Cristina Rumoroso has managed to materialise a vision: an optician’s shop where customers feel at home from the moment they walk through the door.
